Granville Non-Violent Action Team (GNAT), organized during the 1990 struggle against the ThermalKem hazardous waste incinerator, was reactivated in September at a meeting with some of the team members from 1990 and new members from several counties across North Carolina. The organization’s purpose in revitalizing wss to stop the proposed National Bio Agro Defense Facility (NBAF) lab. Our focus now is to prevent the nation's natural gas bonanza from coming to North Carolina. |
