Upper Delaware Preservation Coalition
646-205-2724 PO BOX 91 Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania 18435 |
How much of an area does the UDPC represent? UDPC has members from all over the country who are interested in helping to protect the Upper Delaware River. The area we are most concerned with is roughly from the Delaware Water Gap and north to the headwaters of the Upper Delaware River. Does UDPC tell people how to use their land? We don't have the right to tell you how to use the private property you own. We work with land owners to use smart planning practices as well as planning boards and local communities to strengthen ordinances to prevent unethical developers from taking advantage of our area. We believe that thriving business and protecting the environment can exist together. |

West Virginia Rivers Coalition
(304) 637-7201 329 Davis Avenue Elkins, West Virginia 26241 |
WVRC's mission is to "seek the conservation and restoration of West Virginia's exceptional rivers and streams". The goals pursuant to that mission include preserving the high quality waters of the state, and improving those waters that should be of a higher quality. We serve those who use and appreciate the waters of West Virginia in a variety of ways. Most notably we seek to protect the resources of our headwater state to ensure clean water for all. This includes those who reside in West Virginia; those who visit to recreate; the wildlife that depend on a healthy habitat; and those who live downstream and rely upon West Virginia's water to ensure that they too enjoy clean water. |
