United for Action
New York, New York 10017 |
We are a group of volunteers who shape public policy decisions by organizing and mobilizing groups of like minded citizens. Our current focus is to stop the process of hydraulic fracturing of gas wells in the Midatlantic States and Nationally. We are working to raise public awareness of the unacceptable risks posed by this process to our water, air, and mother earth, thus endangering our health and our lives. We seek to empower people to organize, unite and take actions towards a safer, healthier future. |

Upper Delaware Preservation Coalition
646-205-2724 PO BOX 91 Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania 18435 |
How much of an area does the UDPC represent? UDPC has members from all over the country who are interested in helping to protect the Upper Delaware River. The area we are most concerned with is roughly from the Delaware Water Gap and north to the headwaters of the Upper Delaware River. Does UDPC tell people how to use their land? We don't have the right to tell you how to use the private property you own. We work with land owners to use smart planning practices as well as planning boards and local communities to strengthen ordinances to prevent unethical developers from taking advantage of our area. We believe that thriving business and protecting the environment can exist together. |
