WVRC's mission is to "seek the conservation and restoration of West Virginia's exceptional rivers and streams". The goals pursuant to that mission include preserving the high quality waters of the state, and improving those waters that should be of a higher quality. We serve those who use and appreciate the waters of West Virginia in a variety of ways. Most notably we seek to protect the resources of our headwater state to ensure clean water for all. This includes those who reside in West Virginia; those who visit to recreate; the wildlife that depend on a healthy habitat; and those who live downstream and rely upon West Virginia's water to ensure that they too enjoy clean water. |

Western Colorado Congress is comprised of eight community groups that work on local issues as well as participating in regional campaigns. In addition to these groups, WCC is in conversation with the San Luis Valley Citizens Alliance about joining our alliance.Western Colorado Congress has more than 2500 members in six community groups. Our groups tap into the expertise of a professional organizing staff based in Grand Junction, Montrose, and Paonia. In addition, WCC employs a lobbyist to represent our interests in the State Legislature. |
